AquilaVision is offering the state-of-the-art Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology to locate and track individuals within a facility or a defined outdoor area. Staff and facility residents, whether inmates or patients, wear a RFID electronic tag, which emits a continuous signal unique to that individual.

The receiving antennae are securely placed in key locations throughout the facility, such as doorways, stairways, meal rooms, and all off-limits areas. Each individual, including staff members, wear small, unobtrusive bracelets with a tamper-resistant electronic tag. The system registers all tag locations and continually tracks and records each individual throughout the facility at all times. Alarms sound and key personnel are immediately notified when a person passes a restricted area or leaves the facility by any means. Staff tags include an emergency alert button to increase personnel safety.

The systems continual recording and tracking mechanisms can be used to document events, and improves safety of both staff and residents. In the event of an incident, these highly accurate location records can be used to clarify a sequence of events, or to determine participation or non-participation of individuals in the event in question.

This technology is approved as a resource in fulfilling the requirements of the Prison Rape Elimination Act.
